A hora era un día bien emocional. Hicimos una simulación de inmigración. Como la gente se migra a los estados unidos. Todos garraron una carta con un carácter que tiene una historia. Mi carácter ere Tani de Albania que tenía 28 años de edad. Era un profesional de computadoras con un ofreces de trabajo en una compañía buena que no quería ayudar con el papeleo para arreglar me papeles. Yo no
obtiene la ciudadanía. Aprendimos que ciertas personas, esos solteros y que son profesionales tienen chance mejor por la ciudadanía con apoyo de una compañía. El sistema de inmigración es como una lotería que tarda anos. Después tuvimos una presentación de sostenibilidad en el futuro.
Aprendemos como NAFTA a afectado la nación de México y hecho destrucción en México con ruinando la sistema de elote. Los rancheros del elote perdieron sus ingresos y tuvieron que vender su terreno para vivir. Los estados unidos compran el terreno por derecho de NAFTA y construye maquilas de donde los mexicanos y otros trabajan por los bajos salarios. Es una cicla bien mala que también causa maldades en los estados unidos por uso excesivo de elote en todo. Dando les de comer a las vacas, hacendó azúcar y en otros productos. Esto no es la solución! La solución es hacendó todo orgánico. Abonar, reciclar, plantar, dar salarios justos a los que trabajan y dar visas de trabajo.
Después vinieron unos jóvenes de Scholarships A-Z hablar con nosotros de su programa y sus
historias. Los tres eran indocumentados hacendó sus estudios más difícil, pagando más por la
universidad. Nos pidieron nuestra ayuda en su misión a receiver matrícula más baja por los estudios de
ellos. Los tres son gente mui determinada para hacer cambio por ellos y los que necesitan.
Siguiendo tuvimos un reflecto donde hablamos de las raíces de la inmigración, los grupos que
causan las consecuencias de inmigración y las consecuencias de la inmigración. Este reflecto nos eso
pensar de todo que aprendimos y conectar lo. La imagine que usamos fue un árbol. Las hojas fueron las
consecuencias, tronco fue las organizaciones que causan las consecuencias y las raíces fueron las
razones porque resultaron las organizaciones
Después fuimos a la ciudad de Tuscon, Arizona. En la ciudad fuimos a una tienda de segunda
donde los hombres no compramos nada pero las mujeres sí. Siguiendo garramos helados en un
restaurante que se llama El “Hub”. Los helados estaban bien ricos! Regresamos a la casa de Borderlinks
a conocer una señora Martha. Martha nos enseno como hacer popusas. Todos hicimos! Estaban mui
buenas! Le dimos gracias a la señora Martha por ensena los cómo hacer las popusas.
Finalmente, acabamos la noche en un reflecto donde escribimos nuestras culpas que cargamos
con nos otros. Nos otros escribimos doce cosas de que sentimos culpables y una carta a nos otros de
que vamos a cambia en nos otros. Lo mío fue que tomo mis padres por concedidos y ser un hijo malo.
Yo voy a cambiar esto y dar gracias a mis padres por sacrificando muchas cosas para me. Cuando yo
llegue a la casa lo primero que les voy a decir va ser que los amo y gracias por todo que mi han dado.
También dar cariño y amor cuando una persona me da negatividad, gracias a Shwra. La noche cavo a
fuera donde hicimos un circulo y hablamos de nuestras culpas y como vamos a cambiar. Nos otros
quemamos todos los papeles donde escribimos nuestras culpas. liberando nuestra culpa y dimos gracias
por todo que hemos experimentado. Este día fue uno de munchas emociones pero me sentó mas
cercas al grupo.

Now it was a day full emotion. We did an immigration simulation, where people migrate to the United
States. All received a piece of paper with a character that has a story. My character Tani who was
28 years old from Albania was a computer professional with a job offer from a good company that
would not help with the paperwork to fix my papers. I did not get citizenship. We learned that some
people, those who are unmarried and professionals and the support of a company have a better
chance to become U.S. citizens. The immigration system is like a lottery that takes years. Then we had a
presentation of future sustainability. We learn how NAFTA has affected the nation of Mexico and caused
destruction in Mexico in the corn fields. The growers of corn lost income and had to sell their land to
live. The United States bought the land through NAFTA and built factories where Mexicans and others
work for low wages. It's a bad cycles also causing mischief in the U.S. corn industry because of overuse.
Using the corn in the following ways because it was so cheap: feeding the cows, making high fructose
corn syrup and other products. This is not the solution! The solution is in going organic; Composting,
recycling, planting, provide fair wages to workers and give work visas.
Then came a young group called Scholarships A-Z to talk to us about their program and their stories. The
three were undocumented students studying , and trying to paying for college. They asked for our help
in their mission to get in-sate tuition for their studies. All three are people determined to change make a
necessary change starting at the community colleges.
The following reflection we had a talk about the roots of migration, organizations causing immigration
consequences and the consequences of immigration. In this reflection that we though of everything
we learned this past week and connect it. The Imagine we used was a tree. The leaves were the
consequences, trunk was the organizations at fault for the consequences and roots were the reasons
why organizations were there.
Then we went to the city of Tuscon, Arizona. In town we went to a thrift store where us guys did not buy
anything, but the women in the group did. We continued by going to an ice cream restaurant/parlor
called the "Hub". The ice cream was amazing! We returned to the house to meet a lady at Borderlinks
named Martha. Martha taught us how to make pupusas. We all made some! they were very good! We
gave thanks to Martha for teaching us them how to make pupusas.
Finally, we ended the night in a reflection where we wrote about the guilt that we carry with us
because in the reflection the night before we all identified some guilt in us. We wrote twelve things
we felt guilty of and a letter to us of what we're going to change in our selves. My guilt was that I take
my parents for granted to often and being a bad son. In a post card I wrote to myself that
I'm going to change this and thank my parents for sacrificing so many things for giving me a better life.
When I get home Sunday afternoon the first thing I will say to my parents is that I love them and thank
them for everything they have given me. Also I will give love and kindness when someone gives me
negativity, because of Shura’s inspiration I realized nothing can defeat kindness . At night we made a
circle and talk about our guilts and what we are going to change about our selves. We all burned the
guilts we wrote on those pieces of paper, freeing us from our faults and gave thanks for everything we
have experienced.
This day was one of most emotional ones, but I felt much closer to the group.
